the designers

The look and feel and style of this website would not be possible without the collaboration of others.  Whilst I am a creative person my talent pales in comparison to the insightful brilliance of the design duo that helped me create this place on line.

I need to acknowledge their contribution and the way that they worked as it truly matched me.

Our introduction was by referral, isn't that the way the world works.  Someone who really gets me knew that we would be a good fit as far as creative working partnerships go.

From the outset we clicked.  Their style is real, intuitive, respectful and inspired.  They got my brief and at the same time added in ideas and suggestions. We met via skype so location was not an issue - they being in Melbourne, me being in Sydney.  Our meetings were casual in style yet professional in content and outcome.  This balance is exactly how I like it.

My brief at one point to this design team was to capture the essence of me in a logo.  I said that I am not about brand and image, but about communication and connection. So for me going forwarded I wanted to create a consistent presence online that really reflected me and at the same time allowed me to continually evolve.

They came up with several amazing ideas.  All were presented via Skype to me using a professionally laid out slide presentation. Each proposed design had a story. Each had a unique feature.  In the end we decided on the bubbles and the water related look and feel you see in the Jenn Shallvey brand and on the Intuition Starter site.

One thing that made this partnership work is that I let them work to their own schedule. I respected their creative process and let the ideas come rather than be forced.  We made this arrangement so that there was no unncessary pressure. With no deadline per se, and not time element what evolved became an organic creation much like art itself.

Now for the viewer you may simply see some nice colors and visuals. Yet for me there is a story, a visual identity and an expression of me that links us together in a subtle, subconscious way.  Isn't that what good design does?

Now who are the designers?  Well they can't tell you yet.  They are about to launch their business officially following a short break. When they do I will of course update this page and add their names and contact details.

In the meantime if you wish to connect with them please contact me with your details and I will pass them on.
