book in progress: seechange

Ironically this book is the first I started to write. It is also the one I keep on the backburner. I have a lot of content for this one. I have a lot of ideas for this one. Yet I am least ready to release it.

A couple of years ago I had a burst of writing enthusiasm and produced the most I have of anything so far. This book has what I call my heart and soul, my calling and my purpose all wrapped into one. What I want to offer and do with this book requires the others as foundation.

What I would like to do is acknowledge the inspiration of others so far in the writing process. When I sat down to write I thought first of one of my favorite authors, Dr. Wayne Dyer. After listening to him talk about his writing process many times I loved one of his techniques. He gets the cover and title done first and then writes the book. With this in mind I commissioned a designer, Rachel Wells, to help inspire me to write. So she took the first rough draft, unedited 100 or so words and put them in a template. When the PDF file came back to me I think I cried. Ok so I am an emotional one!  To just even conceive of the book going somewhere took my breath away.

Yet I was not ready.

I continued to work on the outline, models and more ideas. I got about 1/3 of the way through it but felt I was pushing and pulling, not flowing. Then my mother passed away. Now you say, oh what an excuse for not writing. Well it was!  If you check back on my blogs you will notice some of the posts. It took a long time for me to get my writing voice back. It took a long time for me to do writing other than processing my grief and loss.

When I go back and look at what I wrote so far, the intention behind the writing and what the book will do when it comes I get very excited. This book is my desire for change.

Perhaps in reality I need to do more of what I am writing about myself before sending the words out into the universe.

Overview

This book focuses on the journey we make from unconscious to conscious in our life. Yet the story is not about waking up. Instead the focus is on self transformation so that you can do your best at giving back and creating positive change in the world. You see, I believe that if we get our individual self in order as best we can then we can truly do work that makes a difference.  I also believe that we need to develop in ourselves a level of resilience, capacity and steadfastness to withstand the challenges of embarking on the path of helping others change. This book takes you through this process. This book takes you on the journey. My intention is that by reading the book, following the exercises, you will move through the barriers that keep you from doing your part in helping the world.

I also write this book with the intention of helping people BEFORE they hit the wall in a crisis. I want to connect into a person at the beginning, when they are on the edge, the crescendo of changing long held beliefs and raising consciousness. This is the book to help and guide people through this shift.

As I write this though I realize that this book may be needed in some form or another earlier rather than later. You see we are already hitting crisis after crisis on a global level. People are needing support.

So as I get to it I will try to post some updates, blogs or other information related to this work.  So because you made it this far on the page may I share with you the RAW, UNEDITED introduction to whet your appetite.
